Notes: Lyrics: Mario Cevoli. Hammond reports this as a probably spurious work ascribed to Frescobaldi. Part of the attribution is torn of, so that the name is almost impossible to read (Hammonds thinks it began with “Cav.”, Jeanneret reads “Cati”), and “baldi was added by someone else with different ink. The collection contains works by Cesti and other later composers, and Frescobaldi’s authorship of this aria sems highly unlikely. (Information contributed by Christine Jeanneret.)
