Notes: (Compare F 19.03H.) A number of phrases in this “Courante Baldescha” are reminiscent of correntes of Frescobaldi; for example, its beginning resembles the opening of F 3.24. Unlike F 19.03H, no single work of Frescobaldi has been identified as forming the basis of this setting; it may be merely be a kind of homage “in the style of” (à la manière de). Notes on the transcription: The rhythm is indicated only for the first measure, but perhaps should be continued in the following measures, as shown in the transcription, or perhaps varied by the player. The directions of the note stems correspond to the strumming directions indicated in the tablature.
