Notes: In the hand of Frescobaldi’s assistant, Nicolò Borbone. An inscription “Capriccio Sopra Vestiva i Colli” is crossed out. It may have been inserted in error, and probably was intended for F 14.04; see Silbiger, (1980-1), 162. The second part, beginning at the top of f. 14v (see F 14.03.2) is an untitled piece in the vein of Frescobaldi’s Capricci of 1624. This part has a curious connection with both Ricercare VII by Froberger (1656) and Fugue 5me by Roberday (1656); see Silbiger (1993), 20-23.
