Notes: The following Balletto e ciaccone (F.2.31) probably form the conclusion of this Battaglia. The MS Ravenna 545 (fol. 96v) contains a Barriera (a genre related to the Battaglia) that opens with virtually the same fanfare as this Capriccio, but following the first measure it has nothing in common with F 2.31. In a copy of Toccata I (1637) in the Biblioteca Casanatense in (Rome) someone added by hand after Battaglia: “Navale”.
